Mr. Tim Woolford MD FRCS (ORL-HNS)
Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon
Between the NHS and private practice I perform well over 100 rhinoplasties and more complex nasal reconstructions each year. Rhinoplasty (nose cosmetic surgery) and nasal septal surgery is performed for those who have cosmetic or nasal airway problems. These problems may follow trauma or occur in patients who are interested in revision rhinoplasty.
A significant part of my workload is dedicated to nasal reconstructive surgery for patients who have nasal skin cancer. This is complex surgery which often requires several stages.
I am past President of Facial Plastic Surgery UK, the ENT Facial Plastic Surgery Society, I am also a Fellow of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and an inter-specialty member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (BAAPS). I am editor of the Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery section of the ENT:UK e-learning project. I am also an Associate Editor of the Journal of Laryngology & Otology, and Editor of the Plastic Surgery Volume of Scott-Brown’s Otolaryngology.
My expertise in rhinoplasty and nasal plastic surgery is reflected in invitations to lecture at meetings and teach on several national and international courses. I am also co-organiser of the annual Manchester Rhinology & Rhinoplasty Course and I have written numerous articles and book chapters related to nasal surgery. Recent rhinoplasty lectures I have given and course teaching are featured in the news section.
